My initial impression on genius of the first little fiction stories I have read which was The Wrong air by Roberto Fernandez was that it was hilarious. I found it fishy that the pronunciation of a certain news fundament make a true difference in meaning for the other person. At the analogous time it can be frustrating some times. For example, T.V. can proceed manage TB when said in a unlike accent. But in the end I found it funny and didnt take the situation seriously because it reminded me of a drollery skit on a T.V show. The skit starts turned with an misunderstanding of what someone says and translates it exclusively off target to the other person involved. accordingly the skit goes off to something obviously ridiculous like testing someones telly and the test determines something important. Sometimes, the last sentence spoken is the close to humorous line of the whole thing. All of this is shown when the doctor and Mima were formulation back and forth to each other, He told Mima, Ask her if she had TB. Mima turns to Barbarita. He says, if you have a television?



Then it goes on to Mima saying, He says he needs to test your daughters television to make sure it works, otherwise you cannot get your green card. Then with confusion Barbarita responds Why the television? Then Mima says, How many times did I tell you you needed to buy one? come int you know, Barbarita? This is America. My favorite line is the very last one that Mima says because it shows the stereotypical thoughts that foreigners think of when they think or hear the word America or American. Sadly, it is true at some moments. I will always remember this story of being like a skit on a comedy show.
