My initial reaction to this school text was that it had strong financial statements with significant life evidence to back it up. The text talked of situational problems that are pertinent to everyday life. This allowed for the reader to be able to relate to the article, giving us the option to how the problems in the world affect our society. I to a fault thought that the text was biased. It only gave one stance to its subject, al to the highest degree as if it were trying to give the reader blinders. I believe I had these reactions based on what is written intimate of the text. For example the seed says And yet we go on livelihood closed lives, pretending we are not each personally responsible for the deaths we buy and sell. I believe I had most of these reactions based on how the author came across on the subjects. The author has a way of making the interview take a side that is the most convenient at the moment. In the text they author gives his opinions on troubles that could be affect anyone in the world.
The audience or the reader is almost forced to believe what the author is saying in the text. He also talks of thermonuclear weapons and the amount of effort we put into security. I agree with his statement and think time and money have been wasted in places like Iraq. He states that our nuclear bombs have 180,000 times the snow than Hiroshima. Telling us that the advance we have n engineering science could be a massacre to the world, as we know it.
