Throughout the 1950s and 1960s women were expect to stay at understructure or work in underpaid jobs (Scott, p. 205). Women started to learn about `how to be a house wife composition still in school. Their education was emphasized on home sciences and the majority of women left before high school. Then imbed themselves a husband and spent the rest of their lives raising a family. Their whole lives revolved around taking care of the house, kids and husband. More and more women valued to get out of the house and into the work force, from the 1950s there was a major growth in the textiles, clothing, and food processing industries (Hospodaryk & Darlington, p. 205). These relied firmly upon the cheap labor of women. Between 1965 and 1980 there were three quantify as many women than men entering the work force and they were usually lower paid (Hospodaryk & Darlington, p. 206).
