Alice Walker uses irony, symbolism, and artistic unity to scoff readers in nonchalant Use as well as her other stories. Walker faced struggles and calamity when she was younger. She used the struggles and tragedy in order write with such determination. Walker feed off of her career experiences to show readers that women also possess aplomb and confidence if they put their mind to it. She turned anger and animus into some of the greatest poems and short stories written by a woman. Walker is one of most successful African American writers in todays literature. She has been called a poet, originalist and an activist by her peers and by her large following. Her first story was print in 1965 and her latest work was published in 2002 concerning the bombing of the cosmos Trade Center and The Pentagon. Walker is most famous for her novel The Color Purple. Alice Walker was born on February 9, 1944 in Georgia. At the age of eight, she was injured in a bb torpedo accident and neer recovered abounding use of her pay eye. At that point she became unstable, reserved, and secluded.
During this dark time in her life, she launch comfort in writing poetry and short stories. In 1964, she almost committed suicide upon learning that she was pregnant. Walker again turned to writing to ease her pain. She got an abortion and from that point forward, she never looked back. A writer was born. Years later, she published a some poems and short stories, but nothing of real significance. In 1983, she won the Pulitzer Prize for the novel The Color Purple. The novel was published in 1982. This was the break she had worked so hard for.
