Through discover history there find been groups and tribes that fight and dislike like each other repayable to the way they look, and today this is still true, unfortunately. In the United States the beginning round of racism was between White Americans and Black Americans and as more slew have immigrated the racism and prejudice has as well. While umpteen population embrace the new cultures and people others are still prejudice and will not pack any new comers. All over the Nation racism still exists, yet in Southern California it is generally directed towards Mexican Americans.
I moved to California in June 2008, from Jersey City, NJ, a city right across the river from NYC and a very ethnic and culturally diverse place. I am a second-generation American of Puerto Rican evenfall and I moved out here with my girlfriend who is of European descent and alike grew up in jersey city. Southern California is much diverse ethnically, than Jersey City, in Jersey City there was constitute amounts of every race, religion, and ethnicity, but out here in California, I seem to be the minority under Mexican Americans. Hispanic Americans make up 38.1% (CityTownInfo).

Out here in Riverside there is a very large Mexican population, which looks quite varied from myself. I am a typical white girl with towheaded pig and blue eyes, and I do tan well, but the Mexican American population mostly has darker skin, brown hair and brown eyes. Yet there are other people out here besides Whites and Mexicans, there are Asiatic Americans, Black Americans, and Native Americans as well. Although most of look different many of the Asian ethnicities look similar so many people have trouble telling the difference between a Chinese person from a Japanese person. This is also true for many different Hispanic cultures.
