In the 17th century there were distinguishable ways to colonize the “ raw World,” politics and economic using helped shape the foundation of prominent new settlements. Two countries that present on opposites of these cardinal factors in colonization are Spain and refreshed England. I will be contrasting the differences between these two countries and how they developed in the early 17th century.
When contrasting the politics of these two colonists one must look at what the colonists stood for and what was their governmental motive. For Spain the motive was chiefly simple, conquer and exploit the land for its raw(a) resources to send back over to Spain, and also to convert the indispensable peoples to Christianity. The colonists of New Englands motives were to practice their own religious beliefs and to develop a stable economy. Spains colonists were gener tout ensembley greedy and dishonest men who altogether wanted to improve their own lives, even the viceroys employed by the monarchy themselves proved to be dishonest and greedy rulers. This sets a politically unstable and hostile territory where violence is a familiar application to obtain ones wants.
