The class is made up of various students in different disciplines . A adjudicate of 40 students will be at random selected from the Psyc2317 class but will be matched in impairment of gender to avoid the confounding influence of a great bout of one gender over the other . The sample will be made up of 20 females and 20 males , a self-esteem inventory will determine whether they dumbfound a shit high and low self-esteem , in case the number of high and low SE students will not be equal , the sample will be reduced to realise the required matching of congregationsAPPARATUSA self-esteem inventory available in the internet will be used to determine the level of self-esteem of students . Additional materials to be used will be and pens , a spreadsheet , calculator and the summative test designed by the researchersPROCEDUREStudents were informed that a mini-experiment will be conducted for the class and that the students pickings up the class were asked to volunteer to be the participants of the study .
Those who volunteered were asked to take the online self-esteem inventory and to submit a copy of their results to the researchers . The subjects were therefore assigned to the four radicals (1 ) 10 males with high SE (2 ) 10 females with high SE (3 ) 10 males wit low SE and (4 ) 10 females with low SE . The subjects were then asked to take the summative test for the course and the results of each group were statistically tried to determine the effects of self-esteem and gender to the test scoreSTATISTICA 2x2 analysis of variance was used to determine the effects of self-esteem and gender to test scores since the sample was composed of four groups with 2 levels for 2 independent variables or factors . The test scores for each group were compared to either high /low SE and male /female variants to establish whether self-esteem and gender affects test performance . The alpha was set at 0 .05 and the hypothesis was non-directionalRESULTSThe male high SE group had a mean score of 88 on the test , while the male low SE group averaged 80 , the female high SE group scored 70 in the test and the female low SE group had the lowest mean score...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website:
