The possibility that seems the most correct to me is the Democracy Theory. I opt this theory over the others because our country has a great bill of voting and elections compared to other countries. Our country has the state electing officials to positions of authority, and we also supply the people to get rid of people in power. normal opinion also matters a lot and will influence the decisions of our politicians. People can also become a partition of the government, so it isnt like being a politician is unreachable to average people. The pluralist theory isnt right both because although there are a lot of competing interest groups, they smooth dont beat out the majority. The other bother with the pluralist theory is that many of the single purpose interest groups stool some of the same interests as the majority of the people.

The problem with the power elite theory is that although there are powerful people in government, their positions arent of absolute power and that their positions can be taken away if they dont use them correctly. It is also possible for people to get into the upper echelons of society where they could go for quite a bit of power. Another issue with the theory is that in order for these elites to control everything, they would have to stop lay out with each other and agree on issues. Even the chairperson can have his power taken away if the voters go under that they dont like him. Also if the people didnt agree with our government, it would be possible for the people to rebel, and the elites would have no power over the people.
