Imagine being an African American woman during this tough time; it seems nearly unbearable to think about the amount of discrimination an someone would face. Although difficult, there are plenty of great examples of women who have intelligibly stood up the so-called sorts of women in our society. One in fact that stands out to me is a woman in the music industry, by the name of Valaida Snow. Snow was a remarkable musician and singer. She did things that make men and women of all races jealous of her abilities. Snow was assumed put down in society just because of here gender and race.
